Spool ("the app") helps you write, schedule and publish posts to your own Threads account. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Data we store
- Threads profile: your user ID, username, display name and profile picture URL.
- An access token issued by Meta that lets the app act on your behalf within the permissions you approved. It is stored encrypted.
- Posts you create in the app: text, photos and videos you upload, reply settings, the post you quote, and the scheduled time.
- Publishing history: once a post is published we keep its text, time and link so you can see your history in the app.
Photos and videos are stored only until the post is published, because Threads fetches them from our server. After that they are deleted automatically. Your recent posts on Threads are fetched from Threads each time you open the dashboard and are not stored.
How we use it
- To show your profile, drafts, schedule and recent posts inside the app.
- To publish posts to Threads when you ask, or at the time you scheduled.
- To delete posts from Threads when you ask.
- To refresh your access token before it expires so your connection stays active.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties, except with Meta (to call the Threads API) and Cloudflare (which runs the app and stores its data).
Storage and retention
Data is stored with Cloudflare (D1, KV and R2). It is kept while your account is connected and deleted when you disconnect, remove the app from your Threads settings, or ask us to delete it. Login sessions expire after 30 days.
Your choices
You can delete your data at any time. See the Data Deletion page for how.
